Hello!
I’m Dana, a full-time wedding photographer based in California. I am a military spouse, passionate swiftie, and dedicated world traveler. If you are planning a wedding filled with joy, love, and some rated pg-13 dance moves, then I am your wedding photographer!
I BELIEVE LIFE SHOULD BE ENJOYED.
When I met my now husband in 2011, we both new a few minutes into dating that we were going to marry each other. What we did not know was that he would end up joining the U.S Navy as a Submarine Officer in the nuclear field.
This changed how we both lived and had us realize how precious our time together is.
We hired two photographers for our wedding to ensure we got as many shots as possible. Throughout our relationship, we booked photo sessions in Arizona, Virginia, and Italy. These photos bring us joy every time we look at them. Because it was the last time we were all together in one place. Or, a time we were together that kept us going during his deployments.
This is how I want to implament my services to my couples and one main reason why I love being a wedding photographer.
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Before I was a wedding photographer, I was a Registered Behavior Tech and went to college to teach.
Two of the most memorable things I have done are skydiving in Hawaii and climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
I am a tea enthusiast (sorry coffee lovers)
My hometown is based in Pennsylvania, but as an Army Brat and now a Navy Wife, I have lived in over seven states and two countries.
I've trained as a professional stylist at a luxury wedding salon in the Bay Area, so if you need someone to fix a dress on the fly or bustle your train before your first dance, I'm in your corner (and will handle your dress with care during getting ready shots)
I've invested in retreats, not only for the chance to take stunning photos, but so that I can learn from industry leaders on how to better photograph your wedding details, provide a top-notch customer experience, and more.
Before I became a destination wedding photographer, I had traveled to 12 countries on my own dime.I still prioritize investing in experiences that enhance my adaptability and quick thinking skills, (which is incredibly valuable on a wedding day)
“Paris is always a good idea.” —Audrey Hepburn
You want an experienced wedding photographer who still lights up from the moment they step off the plane, like it was their first time. No matter how many destinations I add to my travel resume, my eyes light up the same way on a wedding day- ready for adventure, and ready to share with you all of the joy and capture all the moments.
