Michael and Shelby flew in from Texas and hosted a beautiful and memorable Rava Wines Wedding in Paso Robles, California. Their close friends and family came from all over to celebrate these two on a warm and sunny day! I am so excited to share more about what all went down. Destinations with Dana
Hey, everyone! My name is Dana and I am a destination wedding photographer currently based out of California. Not only do I now serve couples wanting to get married in Europe, but I love serving couples who get married here in California. I have been a full-time wedding photographer for over four years and have been serving couples throughout the country. Photographing weddings is what brings me such joy. Serving couples like Shelby and Michael is why I do what I do and I am so grateful to call this my ‘job’.

How they met is a love story that shows fate. That the real one is out there for you, and it happens when you least expect it. Shelby was at an engineering conference and Michael was attending the same on during TDY. It was not long after they met that Michael knew he found the one. He told his boys this the moment he returned back from work. Excited more than ever, these two just a few years later tied the knot. Michael’s kids accepted Shelby into their family and during the day, were excited to dance with her and see her marry their dad. I loved watching this family combine into one and celebrate the day together.
Rava Wines Wedding
Located in Paso Robles sits the beautiful Rava Wines. I understand why these two decided to host their wedding here. Words cannot describe the beauty of this venue. The bridal suit is large enough for any size bridal party. You can expect to host an intimate wedding outside on the patio and in front of the fountains. Both host great views and plenty of room. Did I mention the several places to photograph portraits? The options were endless.
The day started with a champagne pop and a few album-worthy moments with this wedding party. Shelby and Michael did a first look together, followed by a first look with their kids. This was only the beginning of an incredible day.
After the Ceremony in front of the fountain and an enjoyable cocktail hour, Shelby changed into her second dress and we continued with bride and groom portraits in the vineyard. She looked incredible in her second dress and matched it with some cowboy boots!
What blew me away was their first dance as husband and wife. A well choreographed dance that left us all in smiles!
We also cannot forget about one of the highlights of the day. Her son rapped to not one, but TWO songs word for word. He is only 12, ya’ll.
The night ended with some amazing dancing, and a sparkler exit that was safely done on the patio.
