I'm Dana

A Jacksonville, Florida based destination wedding photographer here to capture full wedding weekends for couples getting married in Florida, or those who are having a wedding in France.

A Wedding Weekend at Château Les Carrasses

This Chateau Les Carrasses Wedding was one of those three-day weddings that remind you what makes destination weddings so special. It was elegant yet relaxed, romantic yet real — a celebration that felt as personal as it was beautiful.

From their welcome BBQ to their candlelit dinner and poolside farewell lunch, every moment was designed with intention. As their destination wedding photographer, I had the joy of documenting the full weekend. Not just the events, but the emotion and connection that made it unforgettable.

About Château Les Carrasses

Château Les Carrasses is a dream for couples wanting history, comfort, and quiet luxury all in one place. Originally built in the 1800s, this 19th-century wine estate has been transformed into a boutique chateau surrounded by vineyards, gardens, and endless countryside views.

The couple chose it because it allowed them to keep everyone together. Every villa and suite is just steps from the celebration. It gave them the best of both worlds: total privacy and that effortless, French countryside charm.

Their stationery suite set the tone for the weekend — soft sage green, romantic line art, and classic calligraphy. It felt timeless but also relaxed, perfectly fitting the calm energy of a French countryside celebration.

The invitation design blended both of their worlds. Inside the envelope, a watercolor painting of Boston tied back to where their love story began. Meanwhile, the location and date on the card pointed to the heart of southern France.

Even the accessories tied into the design. Liz’s blue toile heels matched the color palette beautifully, adding a touch of French charm to her getting-ready suite. Her rings and veil were simple yet timeless — proof that elegance often comes from the details that whisper, not shout.

The Welcome Dinner

What made their Château Les Carrasses wedding so meaningful wasn’t just the setting, but the way they used it. The weekend started with a relaxed, laughter-filled BBQ tucked under the trees. The setting felt effortlessly French countryside — long wooden tables dressed in crisp white linens, glassware that sparkled in the evening light, and soft candlelight dancing through vintage-inspired lamps.

Each place setting featured woven rattan chargers and delicately folded napkins, bringing a touch of texture to the otherwise minimal design. Simple bud vases held soft pink blooms and eucalyptus sprigs, adding just the right amount of color without overpowering the natural surroundings.

It wasn’t just a dinner; it was the start of something meaningful — a night where family and friends began to settle into the rhythm of slow, intentional celebration that carried through every part of the weekend.

Liz wore this dreamy cream dress with soft ruffle details that moved so beautifully every time she laughed or turned toward the light. It had a timeless feel, yet still felt fun and modern — exactly what you’d want for a relaxed evening with your favorite people. Khan went with a blush pink shirt and white trousers — a simple combo that looked both polished and laid-back at the same time. It tied in perfectly with the natural tones of the chateau and the soft, summer atmosphere.

I loved how their outfits felt like them — not overdone, not too formal — just comfortable, classic, and effortlessly stylish. It’s a good reminder that welcome dinners don’t have to be over the top to be beautiful. A little intention, a touch of personality, and a relaxed setting can create something really special.

Chateau Les Carrasses Wedding Ceremony

If there was ever a ceremony spot that feels straight out of a fairytale, it’s the Orangery. It’s a glass structure surrounded by stone, and on this day, it was completely covered in the most beautiful white blooms and greenery.

Liz and Khan chose to keep their ceremony classic and fresh. The wooden cross-back chairs lined the aisle, and lush floral arrangements spilling over with hydrangeas, delphinium, and garden roses. The soft whites and greens felt timeless, but the setting made it feel completely unique — like something you’d stumble upon while wandering through the French countryside.

Guests took their seats under the warm southern French light as the glass Orangery glowed softly in the background. It was peaceful, intimate, and completely romantic.

From behind my camera, I loved how everything felt natural. Nothing about the ceremony was rushed or overly staged. Just genuine emotion, happy tears, and two people promising forever in the dreamiest setting imaginable.

The Wedding Attire

Liz looked timeless in her white ballgown, a perfect match for the chateau’s romantic architecture. Khan wore a classic black tux, complementing the clean, black-tie aesthetic. Their palette of soft whites and greenery kept the look simple, modern, and fresh.

Chateau Les Carrasses Wedding Reception

For the wedding reception, everyone made their way to the lower terrace — the kind of spot that instantly makes you take a deep breath. The view stretched out over the vineyards, and the whole space glowed in that soft, golden French light.

The reception setup was so effortlessly chic. Round tables were covered in floral-patterned linens, adding a romantic, airy feel. Each place setting had woven chargers and crisp napkins — simple but elevated in the best way.

The sweetheart table stole the show. It was lined with fluffy white and lavender hydrangeas and tall candles that gave off the prettiest glow once the sun started to set. Everything about it felt cozy, intentional, and perfectly them.

As the night went on, there were cheers, hugs, and moments of pure joy. Nothing felt staged or overly polished — just real, beautiful connection. It was the kind of evening that reminds you what weddings are really about: good food, great company, and a whole lot of love.

The Farewell Day

The final day at Château Les Carrasses was everything you’d want after a full weekend of celebrating — relaxed, easy, and full of sunshine.

Everyone started the morning with brunch out on the patio. There were stations for omelets, a full spread of pastries and proteins inside, and plenty of fresh coffee and tea. Guests moved from table to table, chatting and laughing, soaking in those last few hours surrounded by the countryside. It felt calm but full of energy — like everyone knew they were part of something special.

Once brunch wrapped up, the party shifted to the pool. The orange-striped towels and floaties made it feel so fun and summery. Some people swam, others sunbathed, and a few just hung out with a drink in hand, enjoying the laid-back vibe.

In the afternoon, guests explored a bit more of the property. Some joined a wine tour through the vineyards, while others stopped by the on-site petting zoo (yes, an actual petting zoo!). It was such a cute and unexpected way to spend the day — totally unique to this venue.

By evening, everyone found their way back to the patio for one last dinner together — a casual, make-your-own pizza night. The air smelled like fresh dough and herbs, music played softly, and the whole space glowed under the warm light. It was simple, joyful, and the perfect ending to a weekend none of us will ever forget.

A Weekend to Remember

From the welcome dinner to the poolside pizza night, Liz and Khan’s Château Les Carrasses wedding weekend was pure magic. Every moment felt intentional but never forced — the kind of celebration where people could just be themselves, surrounded by beauty, laughter, and a whole lot of love.

That’s what I love most about destination weddings like this one. They’re not just about one perfect day — they’re about the full experience. The late-night laughs, the morning coffee runs, the unplanned dance parties, and the memories that linger long after everyone’s back home.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding weekend that feels effortless, connected, and full of joy, Château Les Carrasses is a dream spot to start. And if you’re looking for someone to capture it all — from your welcome dinner to your last goodbye — I’d love to tell your story through my lens.

Let’s make your destination wedding weekend one you’ll never stop smiling about.
