Elizabeth and Triston have been planning their Gala 417 wedding for over a year. The time had finally come for them to have their incredible wedding day with their best friends and family.
It was in June of 2023 that Ellie found me on Instagram. She had seen previous work of mind from The Gala and reached out about information for her wedding day. We first connected of our love for dogs, football, and being affiliated with the military.
Flash forward, they booked their wedding venue at The Gala. Not long after, we planned their engagement session to be on Chincoteague Island in August of 2023. Throughout the last year, we talked weekly about their Gala 417 Wedding. The color pallet, the photo inspiration, where she got her dress, and more. It was such a pleasure to be part of the planning experience with them. I knew this wedding would be amazing.
A month and a half before the wedding date, I did get into a sports accident, broke my ankle in multiple places, and had to get surgery. This prevented me to walk on my legs for two months. Therefore, I had to find an associate to cover this wedding day. I was devasted, but Ashley did an amazing job taking over for me. Now, I am excited to share the images I edited and talk about this fun day (from what I have heard).
Gala 417 Wedding
Some of my favorite parts of this day were all based on specific details Triston and Elizabeth planned out. They included their favorite football teams (Chiefs and Bills), some of their favorite foods for desserts, and even goodie bags with dog treats inside. Since most guests had dogs, this was a neat idea! They even had a nice sports car for a photo backdrop, fall colors as their flowers, and more.
When I saw that they renovated the ceremony and reception space, I was excited to see their were mirrors placed on the doors. I had a vision for over a year to place the wedding dress along the wall and capture the reflection. Plus, the natural light was perfect.
Their wedding prep started in the getting ready suite at The Gala. With the help of her mom, Ellie’s veil was placed gently on her head and we got her ready for her first look with her dad. Such a sweet moment.
The indoor ceremony space is a perfect location for solo photos of the couple and the family. The light is natural and soft. This might be my favorite indoor venue for moments like this.
While guests gather, it was the perfect time to capture some details of the venue. With the new additions since the last wedding I had here, I was excited to see all the changes.
Guests have been seated and now it’s time to start this Gala 417 wedding ceremony.
The bride Elizabeth works part-time at The Gala, so of course we had to have a photo taken with her and The Gala girls. Followed by some family photos with the immediate family member and the wedding party.
Bride and Groom Photos
When you plan and have a gala 417 wedding, there are many places we can capture couples photography. From golden hour to blue hour, the piers and along the gazebos are perfect to capture some sweet moments.
The Gala 417 Reception
It’s time to party! Elizabeth and Triston planned a great reception with yummy food, great music, and fun times with their friends and family. Ending the evening was a cake cutting and a private last dance. The perfect wedding day end for this couple.
