Paris Wedding Photographer
Hey, everyone! My name is Dana and I am a Paris wedding photographer. I started photographing weddings back in January of 2018 and since then, have photographed weddings all over the country for amazing couples. Traveling the world and shooting weddings in beautiful places is what brings me joy in life. In fact, I love traveling so much, that you will find my husband and I adventuring across the world at least once a year.
Tips on Planning Your International Wedding
With all this experience I have traveling and shooting amazing weddings, I have also had the honor of working with so many incredible planners. Amanda Virga is the owner of AMV Weddings. She has planned weddings and styled shoots all over the world. If it’s one person who has the best knowledge for international weddings, it’s her. While working with Amanda, I asked her to give three wedding planning tips. These are perfect for those who are planning an international wedding!
- Hire a Planner! I know, this is very obvious. Planning a Wedding can be challenging and even more so from a distance. A planner will help you navigate the local market and ensure no detail has been overlooked so you can roll into your destination to celebrate with no worries!
- Do your Research on the Local market and region you want to get married in. Costs vary drastically from country to country/state to state etc. Make sure you are getting a good deal and aren’t being up-charged. Also do your research when it comes to weather/seasons, and how that can affect your wedding (flight costs, peak tourist times, ideal weather, venue/vendor pricing) etc!
- Take into consideration travel logistics for you and your guests. Try to stay an hour-90 min of a major airport and ideally consider a location that may be convenient for your guests to extend their trip into a mini vaca on either end. It’s also nice to incorporate fun local elements for them to enjoy throughout the wedding (a boat ride to the ceremony, limoncello favors, local wines, etc for a wedding in Lake Como). If they are traveling for you it’s nice to consider their convenience and experience as well!
Tips on Planning Your International Wedding
Planning an international wedding can be very scary. There is so much to focus on and so much to worry about. Thankfully, hiring a wedding planner like Amanda can make all the difference! It’s so important to have someone there to take care of it all and help you through it!
I hope these tips help you and feel free to follow along to get more inspiration for your upcoming destination wedding!
