The storms in the distance rumbled during this La Venture Grove Wedding for Megan and Carter. Guests gathered with anticipation for the wedding ceremony to start before the storm arrived. Rain or shine, the bride and groom were going to have this wedding ceremony outside because that was their plan from day one. Megan walks down the aisle while the guests are standing. Carter waits for her at the end, where a cross sits in the ground. Another rumble of thunder. Some raindrops fall. Then, lightning strikes nearby. Still, the ceremony goes on. The officiant, who is the groom’s brother, cracks a joke…

“Megan came swooping into Carter’s Life like a late evening Thunderstorm in Florida.”
The crowd laughs.
By the grace of God, we got through the whole ceremony without being fully rained on. The storm held off and kept its distance. The rest of the night was beautiful. With a lovely sunset, great Mexican food, and music. This La Venture Grove Wedding could not have gone better for Megan and Carter.
Megan, Carter, and their wedding party got ready at La Venture Grove. They stayed in separate rooms, but still felt the excitement through the halls. Megan and her girls were happy and relaxed. Downstairs, the boys played games, sang their hearts out, and had a great time. I always love photographing a wedding with vibes that feel so welcoming.

Megan and Carter agreed to do a first look and private vows in front of La Venture Grove before their wedding. This was also the time to take solo and couple portraits before the Ceremony began. This way, they could enjoy cocktail hour without interruption. We were also able to complete formals with their wedding party!

Under the Spanish Moss and stormy clouds, these two said I do in front of their friends and family. It was a ceremony that lasted about 15 minutes, and had each guests laughing and enjoying the moment from start to finish.

To end the night, Megan and Carter celebrated their La Venture Grove Wedding with an outdoor reception on the lawn overlooking the water, a cake-cutting worth celebrating, and dancing all evening long. They ended the night with a sparkler exit. We also cannot forget about the Golden Hour moment, where they got to pet some horses!
