There are so many beautiful wedding venues in the South of France. Each with their own unique style, experience, and vibe. If you are a couple planning their 2025 or 2026 destination wedding and would love to have a wedding in the South of France, then I am excited to share this blog post with you.
As a destination wedding photographer with over 150 weddings under my belt, I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings and editorials at so many beautiful chateaus and villas. The South of France (or the French Riviera) is a place like no other. With views that will take your breath away, and cuisine that tastes delicious. There will be six chateaus and villas shared, all with a variety of price ranges, and guests from Nice, Grasse, Antibes, and one in the Loire Valley. I believe that your wedding photos should be just as beautiful as your venue and show the story of the wedding weekend you worked so hard to plan. These venues are all great options to give you and your guests the best experience.
Chateau Saint Georges
If you want to host a wedding at a Chateau that is secluded from a busy town and an easy drive away, this place is it. My first impression of the Chateau was that this place had everything. Such as lodging for your close family and wedding party guests, great views, two pools, and many spots on site for relaxing. And there are many options for you to host your cocktail hour and ceremony events. The rooms the guests stay in are comfortable and charming.

For this styled shoot, I had the chance to be very creative. As a wedding photographer, I took the time to really explore this chateau, meet the owners, the staff, and the chef. The groundkeepers do such a great job of keeping the chateau beautiful. The views from the gardens and the top terrace are simply breathtaking. From every angle I photographed the models, I could already see in my head what a real wedding here would feel like. It would be perfect for couples who want a great view, a personal experience for their guests, and many on-site locations for beautiful wedding photos.
If you are planning to have a wedding here, it’s a dream of mine to photograph a real wedding at Chateau Saint Georges. Special rates will be offered, and you can view the services and pricing HERE.
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
The second venue I want to share is one with the best views I have ever seen. It’s called Villa Ephrussi. This South of france Wedding Venue is so popular for the Cannes Film Festical.
It is the perfect place to host your wedding ceremony and reception at a luxury location. Although there are no rooms for you or your guests to stay in, this is the only downfall of having a wedding here. As you drive up the coast, you will see incredible views. But when you get to the villa, your breath will be taken away. Villa Ephrussi is the only venue in the world with a view like this.
The ceremony location allows an incredible view of the French Riviera. The gardens are perfect for the cocktail hour and ceremony space. Plus, with many locations on site for fabulous portrait photography, what is not to love?

At this high-end workshop, I had so much time to be creative. This was a great time for me to really take advantage of the grounds. A real wedding here would equal so many options for couples to have their wedding ceremony and reception. Plus, endless locations on site for guests to have their photos taken by me during cocktail hour – something my couples love that I offer. Rain or shine, there are great spots on site for your wedding photography that I have saved on my phone, ready to use on your wedding day.
Chateau Saint Jeannet
A third wedding venue that I love in the South of France is Chateau Saint jeannet. In August of 2024, I photographed a three-day wedding in Nice. This chateau is about a 30-minute drive up the valley from downtown Nice/Old Town Nice. You would need to have your guests either drive here or rent transportation (which I recommend). This chateau is so charming, secluded, and perfect for a wedding with up to 100 or so guests.
This wedding venue in the south of France might be a new favorite. You have the option to get ready on site, and there are plenty of spaces and location options to have your ceremony, and wedding photography portraits. In fact, my first drone shots were done here and I am in love with them! When it comes to the wedding reception, you can have it outside on a patio and if it rains, there is a cover that can go over the space. So, you can still be outside but protected in case it rains.

Danyelle and Alan decided on this chateau for their wedding because of how intimate it felt. She really wanted her “fairytale castle,” which was still within her price range. Their wedding day was amazing, and so was the wedding weekend. To see more of this wedding day, and get all the wedding photography inspiration you need for your wedding, you can check out their wedding blog HERE. You will see the story of how the day went down, how I made sure every moment of the weekend was captured, wedding floral designs, and more.
Villa Djunah | South of France Wedding Venues
Located in Antibes and a 25 or so-minute drive from Nice, is Villa Djunah. If you are a couple planning their wedding and wanting a villa right on the beach in the South of France, then you found your ideal wedding venue! What is not to love about a space like this?
There are two spots you can have you wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Across the street in the main hall and right on the sand next to the water. I was obsessed with this villa from on the ground and above with the drone shots I took. The catering is spectacular with mouth-watering food, and views at golden hour on the beach that really give you that beach day vibe. If you do not want sand in your toes during your ceremony, you can have it right across in the courtyard. The South of France Wedding Venue has a reception area is covered and there are even beach chairs for many to enjoy and relax on during the cocktail hour.

Chateau Allure Du Lac – South of France Wedding Venue
Recently, I photographed a wedding at Château d’Allure du Lac in Angers, France. This South of France wedding venue is just a short train ride southwest of Paris.
The couple booked this chateau for a whole week. It has 14 bedrooms to accommodate up to 28 guests, an elevator for convenience, a small golf course, hiking spots, a small private island, and more! There is even an indoor chapel for a backup ceremony location in case it rains.
Located just 20 minutes north of Angers, this south of france wedding venue is easy to get to. You can take the speed train from Paris to Angers, then take a taxi or Uber. Or, you can rent a car at a rental car facility just outside the train station.

Chateau Les Carrasses – Wedding Venues in the South of France
In the summer of 2025, I photographed one of my favorite weddings to date. The couple requested that most of their images remain private, but were happy to allow me to share a few in hopes of inspiring couples planning a wedding at this chateau. My trip to the chateau from Paris was easy. It was around a 4-hour train ride to Beziers. From there, the chateau offers transportation for guests who need it.

From the first site driving up to the chateau, I was obsessed with the view. The air felt so fresh, and it was quiet and peaceful. Perfect location for a couple wanting an intimate wedding. Each guest and myself/, the videographer, stayed on site the whole weekend. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They let me check in a few hours early. The food from the restaurants and catering for the wedding was a perfect score (seriously, no notes).
The couple started off with a welcome dinner down in the courtyard.

The wedding day weather was perfect. Cloudy and comfortable with a light breeze. It was not until the late evening during the indoor reception that we got a thunderstorm. But it did not stop people from having a great time!

Oh, and the getting ready suites? Plenty of room and space for a bride to get ready with her wedding girls, or both parties to get ready together and relax before the wedding ceremony.
