Kristin and Jon wanted to have a 10 Year Anniversary Photo Session here in Japan and used this as a perfect time to dress up and celebrate their marriage!
About Kristin and Jon
Kristin and Jon attended the same local college where they grew up. They were only living ten minutes apart but did share mutual friends. It was at the same university where they met, hit it off, and now have a family together! These two got married in Virginia Beach just 10 years ago. Now, while here in Japan, they are celebrating their anniversary. Jon, who was previously enlisted and now an officer, wore his dress white. Kristin dressed up in this beautiful white dress and heels.
10 Year Anniversary Photo Session
For Jon to dress up in his dress whites for his anniversary present is a brave thing. The heat here in Japan is no joke. With temperatures in the high 90s and head index making it feel as hot as 115 degrees on some days. But, he braved the heat and whore this dress uniform. Jon and Kristin wanted to look nice for such a special occasion. I took that to heart and made sure to create a great experience. I went to a local floral shop and put together a nice little floral bouquet for Kristin. Details are important so I also brought along some ribbon and a ring box to show off their bands and rings! Kristin even wore the hair clip from her wedding day!
The perfect place to have this 10 year anniversary photo session was at a local park right outside the military base. With just a few minutes of a walk from the entrance, you can enter a garden with a lot of florals, a fountain, and great views of the water and the naval ships. Personally, I love coming here because you can have different backdrops for your photos. Whether a large gazebo, a fountain, or a rose garden, the locations to have your photos done are endless.
This anniversary session was so incredible! These two are truly the type of couple you want to kick it with on a Sunday at the bar, or you can joke around about anything and have some great laughs to go with your conversations. I adore Kristin and Jon and it was such a pleasure getting to know them and photographing this special occasion!
