Ellie and Triston did their Engagement Photos on Chincoteague Island with me, and I am so excited to share some of my favorites! From a hidden driveway with a white fence to a half-sunken ship, we captured memories in some of the best places!
Destination Wedding Photographer
Hey, welcome to the blog! My name is Dana and I am a wedding photographer based out of California and Japan. Since 2018, I have lived in three different states and one other country and took my wedding photography business with me. I love photographing weddings and shooting engagement photos for incredible couples. No matter where they are getting married!
Engagement Photos on Chincoteague Island
On March 15th, I saw a girl named Ellie follow me on Instagram. I reached out to her to simply say thank you for the follow. Little did I know, she would hire me to photograph her wedding in Virginia Beach! Since March, I have learned a lot about Ellie (Elizabeth) and her fiancé, Triston. Both are in the military and serve in the US Navy and US Marines. They have a dog, love going to hockey games, and enjoy comedy shows. And like any true Disney fan, Ellie took Triston there for the first time and now he is in love as well!
Leading up to the current time, these two booked their wedding at Gala 417 and officially hired me to come out to Virginia Beach and photograph their wedding in October 2024! I was so excited because if it’s one thing you all know (or should know), is that I love photographing military weddings. Being a Navy Wife myself, those types of weddings are a bit more personable to me!
Now, while I was on vacation with my family at Chincoteague Island, these two agreed to drive up to me and have their engagement session on the island. I was excited because I love this place so much, and what better way to meet each other for the first time then to have one while I was just a few hours away!
We explored all of my favorite places on the island, and captured some really fun moments with these two and their pup, Chuck! I am excited to share some of my favorites, and can’t wait to see these two again next year!
