South of France Wedding

January 31, 2023

I’m Dana.
I take destination wedding photography seriously. If I’m going to book a flight and travel across the ocean for you, I should probably show you that I know what I’m talking about.

If you are looking to have a South of France Wedding, Chateau Saint Georges is a venue that you should consider for your wedding! A gazebo wedding ceremony that is more sophisticated. Stunning views in the garden looking over the chateau, and a reception that is classic but with a french modern vibe.

Chateau Saint Georges

As a destination wedding photographer, I have been all over Europe and the U.S. Photographing content and weddings in places like Paris, London, and Sintra. However, one venue I have seen really stuck out to me and is now one of my favorite locations. Chateau Saint Georges is an event and retreat venue in the South of France.

There is something about the gardens, the second floor balcony, and golden hour near the gazebo. Plus, an in-door pool perfect for cocktail hour. There are endless ways here for you to host your dream wedding in France!

When it comes to Gazebo weddings, many fear they are to old and cliche to have a wedding at. This gazebo is much more charming and when you cover it in florals, it really does upgrade the idea. Making this more romantic.

The views from the garden are perfect for photography for you and your spouse, the guests, and families.

Indoor receptions are never a bad idea. Especially if you want to have a wedding in the South of France when it’s hot. If it’s in the summer, then you can stay cool. Same with the winter season, where you can be inside and stay warm. On this day, it was hot and sticky. So, the indoor reception set-up was perfectly spaced out in an AC room.

When you decide to have a wedding in the south of France, all the venues have perfect locations on site for photography. What I admire about this chateau is that you can take photographs anywhere during the time of day, and still have amazing imagery. I loved photographing in the gardens, the alleyway, and in front of the chateau with the main door.

To help share with your guests your upcoming South of France wedding, many like to create a memorable and story-telling invitation suite. This is to not only share with your guest, but for the photographer as well. I love photographing these sorts of details.

France Wedding Photographer

Hey, there! Thanks for reading this blog about having a South of France wedding. It was so great sharing with you inspiring images from my time in France and the beautiful content I got to create from this workshop.

I’m Dana. Owner of Destinations with Dana. My business is based out of California but I travel to other countries every year to photograph beautiful couples. Being a destination wedding photographer that serves the South of France is not easy, but it’s such a rewarding job. Getting to meet couples, and serving not only them but their families and friends, brings a smile to my face every day. Each couple I meet has a place in my heart and I always strive to be the best photographer I can be.

This is why I write these blogs. To share a story and to show images from all over the world. So, if you are having a South of France wedding, I hope this helps you put together a wedding that makes you truly happy. And, host a wedding that you, your spouse, or your guests will never forget!
